Gerasimos is a senior student at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Faculty of Technological Applications- Department of Biomedical Engineering. He has been a team member at the “George D. Behrakis RESEARCH LAB” of the Hellenic Cancer Society since May 2016 when he started his internship.
Over the course of the past year he has gained experience and familiarity with the respiratory maneuvers used for Lung Function testing and technical operations of the LAB. He currently assists in technical demands of the Lab, and more recently for the Tack-SHS research study. He has also taken initiative by assisting in administrative and logistical operations of the day-to-day functions of the LAB.
His previous experience includes being a paramedic for the National Greek Football team and the professional Football League from 2012 to 2014. When not in the LAB, he enjoys playing basketball in his local community league.
