The event featured a presentation by Constantina Politis, Associate Professor of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Haematologist, Scientific Advisor of the Hellenic National Public Health Organization (EODY) and the Coordinating Haemovigilance Centre and Surveillance of Transfusion (SKAEM).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/smokefreegreece.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Webp.net-resizeimage-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-10452 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/smokefreegreece.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Webp.net-resizeimage-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Prof. Politis strengthened the importance of healthy individuals donating blood, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, since a significant reduction in blood collection was recorded, ranging from 10 to 35%.
