SMOKEFREEGREECE is a series of coordinated actions organized by the George D. Behrakis<\/strong> Research Lab -Hellenic Cancer Society aiming to reduce smoking in our country.<\/h4>\n

Passive smoking is the inhalation of side-stream tobacco smoke produced by other people who actively smoke near us.2<\/sup>\u00a0This includes but is not limited to, cigarettes, rolled cigarettes, cigars, pipes and water-pipe smoking but also from novel products such as electronic cigarettes.<\/p>\n

Smoking is the biggest epidemic of our time, with an estimated 6 million attributable deaths per year. It is estimated that by 2020, 7.5 million people will die of smoking-related diseases.<\/p>\n
