“Learning to be Smoke-free!” English version of the elementary school notebook was presented to H.E the President of the Hellenic Republic on July 5th, 2018
Our team at the George D. Behrakis Research Lab welcomed our benefactor Mr. Drake Behrakis, President of Marwick Associates and the National Hellenic Society of the United States to the Lab last week!
During his visit, along with Professor Panagiotis Behrakis, Director of the Lab and the Institute of Public Health-The American College of Greece, had the honor to be received by H.E the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos to discuss current actions of the SmokeFreeGreece campaign. They also had the opportunity to discuss future plans for the educational interventions for tobacco prevention among school-aged children.
SmokeFreeGreece is operated by the Institute of Public Health of The American College of Greece and the George D. Behrakis Research Laboratory of the Hellenic Cancer Society that are fully supported by the philanthropic actions of the Behrakis Foundation in Boston, MA.
H.E Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos a long-term supporter of SmokeFreeGreece, also made a commitment to print and circulate the English version of the elementary school notebook, “Learning to be Smoke-free!”, under his auspices.
